Walter Macon Lowrie moved to China and preached the Gospel in the early 1800s. She was one of the earliest Presbyterian ministers to China. He was killed by pirates after preaching the sermon we will listen to today.
This sermon, "The Punishment Of Hell," is an evangelistic plea that was given in Chinese. Lowrie calls the people to understand that the punishment for their sins is Hell and that they serve a Holy God. This sermon was preached in Shanghai.
